Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

With old ladders and palettes stacked against the back wall, the old shed was a perfect place to hide from grownups or to just go to be alone. Sweet smelling grass and wildflowers, lilac bushes and shade trees made it a comfortable place to meet up with playmates and start a game of hide and seek or steal the flag.
As a designer, I try to find the little twist that sparks a connection, a wave of delight. When not otherwise occupied with developing brands, logos, packaging and trade show displays, I travel with my artist husband in search of inspiration. Many of the photos are from my home state of Wisconsin and from Spain and Peru. Wherever we go, the camera is in my hand, capturing the little things that inspire awe or make me smile. And because I love to tinker, I often play in Photoshop to create unique results. Great shot Mary! Love the colors and textures of the weathering wood and the contrast of it with the beautiful lush green surroundings, the right in the very middle we see the persistence of nature in the wild flowers, growing from under the wood. I also love the little bit of path that makes me want to come in and explore! v/f :D
