Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Finding a melting point. A Thiele tube is set up to discover the melting point of sulfur. A small sample of sulfur in a capillary tube is attached to a thermometer and inserted into the Thiele tube. The oil in the Thiele tube is then heated with a Bunsen burner and the temperature read off when the sulfur melts. This method works for any substance with a melting point below 370 degrees centigrade the boiling point of paraffin oil - an oil with a very high boiling point.
